Privacy and legal notice

This is the personal website of Miguel Torrez. It is published by an individual, not by a company, and it sells nothing.

Hosting and delivery are provided by Vercel Inc. Requests to this domain reach Vercel's edge network before they reach this site.

Two systems, and no others. Vercel Web Analytics records aggregate page views and the route each one landed on. It sets no cookie, builds no cross-site profile, and never identifies a visitor. Google Search Console reports how this site performs in Google's own search results, using data Google already holds; it receives nothing from your browser through this site.

There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no advertising pixel, no session recording, and no heatmap tool. The build fails if one is added: the check is part of the release gate, not a promise.

One cookie, named NEXT_LOCALE. It records the language you chose from the language switcher, so the site can send you to that language next time. It is written only when you actively switch language, lasts one year, and is limited to this domain.

One localStorage entry, named fcg-lang, written by the curriculum graph viewer to remember which language you were reading it in.

Both are strictly functional, neither is used for tracking or advertising, and neither requires consent. That is why this site shows no cookie banner and will not add one.

Fonts are self-hosted and served from this domain, so opening a page sends no request to Google Fonts and leaks no IP address there.

There are no third-party embeds, no social widgets, and no external scripts. The only framed document on the site is the curriculum graph viewer, which is served from this same domain.

Aggregate audience measurement rests on legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR: knowing whether anyone reads a page is the minimum needed to keep publishing it. Server and delivery logs are processed by the host for security and reliability and are kept for a short period under its own policy.

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and you may object to processing. Readers in Brazil have the equivalent rights under the LGPD. Because nothing collected here identifies you, the practical answer to most of those requests is that there is no record to retrieve, but the request will always be answered.
